SEX OFFENDER ARRESTED FOR FAILURE TO COMPLY

A Baxter County sex offender has been arrested and jailed for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements and other charges. 29 year old JOSHUA LYNN COBB was arrested yesterday, April 16th, at his residence at 272 CR 501 by Sheriff’s Deputy William Altazan.
JOSHUA COBB has been registered with the Sheriff’s Office as a Level 2 (moderate risk to re-offend) Sex Offender. On February 20, 2012, the Arkansas Crime Information Center in Little Rock mailed a “Verification of Residency” form to JOSHUA COBB. This form was returned as “unclaimed”. COBB had last verified his residence in September, 2011 and was required to re-verify residence with the Sheriff’s Office on March 5, 2012. COBB did not comply with this requirement.
Sheriff’s Investigator Brad Lewis obtained a warrant for the arrest of JOSHUA LYNN COBB for this offense, and there were also outstanding arrest warrants for COBB on un-related charges.
JOSHUA LYNN COBB was booked into the Detention Center and is being held without bond pending an appearance in Circuit Court on April 19th on the following charges:
Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration – Felony
Revocation of Suspended Sentence – Felony
Failure to Appear in Court – Felony
Child Support Non-Payment Body Attachment - Civil
