SHERIFF'S OFFICE RECEIVES ADDITIONAL DONATIONS FOR PURCHASE OF BULLET PROOF VESTS
03/16/2012
The Baxter County Sheriff’s Foundation, Inc. has now received three additional anonymous donations from local area citizens to be used for the purchase of body armor vests for deputies of the Sheriff’s Office.
Following publication earlier this week that Mountain Home Attorney Frederick S. “Rick” Spencer had donated nearly $2,300 to the foundation for the purchase of body armor vests for sheriff’s deputies, three additional citizens came forward this week with separate donations totaling $2,500.00.
The three newest donors made specific requests that new body armor vests be purchased for female deputies working at the Sheriff’s Office. When received, these vests will be issued to Sergeant Sheri Lewis, Corporal Garnett McMahon, Deputy Danielle Campfield, Deputy Michelle Martin, and Deputy Jaime Holland. Specially designed vests are needed for the female deputies as vests normally in stock with vendors will not fit them properly.
The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office and the Baxter County Sheriff’s Foundation again express their sincere appreciation to those who have come forward to provide donations to fund the purchase of new body armor for the deputies. The safety of our deputies and citizens is of paramount importance, and we are thankful for the outstanding working partnership with enjoy with those in our wonderful community.
