WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER SELLING METHAMPHETAMINE

A Flippin woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon on felony drug charges after being stopped by Deputy Kristofer Savino. Sheriff’s Investigators and officers from other agencies had arranged for a cooperating individual to purchase methamphetamine from this woman. Cell phone communication was used during this process between the woman and the cooperating individual.
The transaction occurred in the parking lot at the Hopewell Baptist Church on Buford Road, which was observed and recorded by investigators. A short time later, the woman who sold the methamphetamine, identified as 45 year old DAWN EILENE MACKIVITCH, drove away and was pulled over by Deputy Savino. Investigators found on her person the marked currency that had been provided to the cooperating individual to make the purchase with. MACKIVITCH had sold approximately two (2) grams of methamphetamine for $200.00.
DAWN MACKIVITCH was transported to the Baxter County Detention Center and incarcerated on charges of:
Delivery of Methamphetamine – Felony
Delivery of Controlled Substance in Proximity to Certain Facilities (a church) – Felony
Unlawful Use of Communication Device – Felony
DAWN MACKIVITCH is being held in lieu of $35,000 bond pending an appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court.
