Death Investigation of Apparent Suicide in Gamaliel

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the death of a 24 year old Gamaliel, Arkansas man. At approximately 8:36 pm, 911 received a call from a female who stated she found her boyfriend with a belt around his neck and he wasn’t breathing.
Corporal Charles Bost and ambulance personnel from Baxter Regional Medical Center responded to the residence at the Hickory Hills Resort, at 3553 Hwy 101 North in Gamaliel. When Corporal Bost arrived he observed the male victim lying on the floor. Baxter County Deputy Corners Office pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Investigator Brad Lewis responded and after the preliminary investigation, it is believed that 24 year old Christopher Sean Lassabe died of an apparent suicide by hanging. Based upon evidence at the scene and statements, It is believed the Victim's Mother and Girlfriend cut him down before deputies and rescue personnel arrived.
The body is being sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office to confirm the cause and manner of death. At this time there is no foul play suspected, the investigation is continuing.
