DEPUTIES ARREST THREE TODAY ON OUTSTANDING WARRANTS

Sheriff’s Deputies served several outstanding warrants of arrest today on three different persons residing in Baxter County.
Acting upon a request from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Pine Bluff, Deputies went to 420 East Sanford Street in Gassville to attempt to locate 32 year old RHONDA K. PAYNE on an outstanding warrant for felony Theft of Property. Deputy Maryanne Edge made contact with RHONDA PAYNE at the residence, as well as with her husband, 35 year old JAMES W. PAYNE.
RHONDA PAYNE was taken into custody on the Jefferson County warrant. It was then learned that JAMES PAYNE also had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for Violation of the Arkansas Hot Check Law. RHONDA PAYNE was taken to the Detention Center for processing, with bond set at $2,500 on her warrant. JAMES PAYNE later came to the Sheriff’s Office where the misdemeanor warrant was served on him. He posted bond in the amount of $190. Both of them will appear later in court in Jefferson County.
This afternoon, Sheriff’s Deputy William Altazan went to 170 CR 903 to attempt to locate 19 year old RYAN JAMES LINDSEY on several outstanding arrest warrants in Baxter County. Deputy Altazan made contact with LINDSEY, who fled on foot from the deputy. Deputy Altazan gave chase and apprehended LINDSEY and took him into custody. RYAN LINDSEY was transported to the Detention Center and booked on charges of:
Failure to Appear in Court – Felony
Failure to Appear in Court – Misdemeanor
Contempt of Court - Misdemeanor
Probation Violation – Misdemeanor
Fleeing from an Officer – Misdemeanor
RYAN LINDSEY is being held without bond and will appear in Circuit Court on December 29th and in District Court on January 17th.
