Austin F. Stoffel
Sheriff’s Deputies have charged AUSTIN F. STOFFEL, 51 years old of rural Mountain Home, with felony assault charges after they responded to a domestic disturbance on December 17th at approximately 1:56 AM on Baxter CR 25 that involved a firearm.
A female victim stated she was asleep in her residence when her estranged husband, AUSTIN STOFFEL, who resides elsewhere, entered into the residence. Deputies took STOFFEL into custody after they arrived at the residence, and the firearm, a .45 caliber pistol, was retrieved and taken into evidence.
Deputies later found that STOFFEL had parked about 30 yards away from the house on CR 25 and covertly walked up to the residence and then made entry.
AUSTIN F. STOFFEL was transported to the Baxter County Detention Center and incarcerated on one (1) count of Aggravated Assault against a Family or Household Member – Felony; and (1) count of Aggravated Assault – Felony. Bond was set at $15,000. STOFFEL is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court on January 5th to answer those charges.
