A Louisiana man, 38 year old DAVID C. SESSIONS, is custody on an outstanding Baxter County warrant of arrest for felony theft of property.
On October 21, 2010, the Sheriff’s Office was advised that property had been stolen from the Twin Lakes Farm & Lawn store at 4423 Highway 62 West of Mountain Home. It was reported that a 2010 RTV900 Kubota RTV valued at $12,800 had been stolen from the business sometime between 5:15 PM on October 20th and 9:00 AM on October 21st.
Working with other agencies, Sheriff’s Investigators were able to develop two suspects in the theft. Warrants of arrest were eventually issued for two persons, DAVID C. SESSIONS and 25 year old JOSHUA ALLEN BATES of Flippin, on January 5, 2011.
Joshua Bates surrendered himself to the Baxter County Detention Center on June 17, 2011, and his charge is currently pending in Baxter County Circuit Court. Investigators learned that David Sessions was in custody in Louisiana and would have to be extradited at a later time. He has since been returned to Arkansas, and the Baxter County arrest warrant was served on him on September 21st for one count of Theft of Property – Class B Felony. Sessions appeared today in Baxter County Circuit Court. He plead not guilty to the charge and is set to reappear in court on November 17th. Sessions also faces charges in Marion County, and will be returning to the Marion County Jail. He bond on the Baxter County charge is set at $20,000.
Investigators believe the stolen Kubota RTV is hidden somewhere in Northeast Texas, and it has not been recovered.
