           Sheri Lynn Seay

A Jordan woman, 52 year old Sheri Lynn Seay, is in custody at the Baxter County Detention Center after Sheriff’s Deputies arrested her on the evening of September 6th following two separate incidents that involved her.

Deputies were initially summoned to 26 Winchester Road at 6:59 PM in response to a complaint that a woman who was being transferred by her husband to Baxter Regional Medical Center by personal vehicle was being disorderly, possibly suicidal, and threatening to kick the windows out of the car. On arrival, Sheriff’s Corporal George Edings took the woman into custody and transported her to the Detention Center. Later, she was allowed to be taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center by her family for treatment.

At approximately 9:14 PM, deputies were dispatched to 4188 Hwy 177 South in response to a complaint involving the same woman, Sheri Lynn Seay. Deputies learned she had been released from BRMC and taken to her home. Mrs. Seay was now reported to again be violent and in possession of a baseball bat and a firearm. Prior to the arrival of deputies, it was reported that the firearm had been discharged. On arrival, deputies found that the glass in the front door of the residence was shattered. They found Mrs. Seay downstairs being restrained by two men. As deputies placed her under arrest, she offered physical resistance. A Winchester 30-30 caliber rifle and a baseball bat were retrieved and taken into evidence.

Sheri Lynn Seay is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on charges of:

Criminal Mischief 1st Degree – Misdemeanor
Disorderly Conduct – Misdemeanor
Resisting Arrest – Misdemeanor

She is also being held for mental health evaluation. Bond on her criminal charges is $1,220. She will appear later this month in Baxter County District Court.
