Jessica Osborne
August 26, 2011, at approximately 8 am, the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office responded to Twin Lakes Farm and Lawn on Hwy 62, East of Mountain Home for a report of a stolen vehicle. When Deputies arrived, the victim stated that at around 7:45 am, he observed a Black GMC pickup pull around the side of the business. When he walked around the side of the business a few minutes later, he noticed his 2008 Ford Pickup was missing and the black 2003 GMC Extended Cab Pickup was left beside it.
As Investigators were processing the black GMC Truck, the owner was located and arrived at the scene. The owner of the GMC told Investigators he had left the vehicle at the Ultimate GMC Dealership for service. Deputies responded to the dealership and found a 1993 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup was parked nearby the area the GMC truck had been parked. The owner of the S-10 was contacted and confirmed that the vehicle had been taken from Haven’s Heating and Air Company.
A B.O.L.O. was broadcast to area law enforcement for the stolen Ford Truck. Approximately 9:30 am, Lt. Rick Lucy located the stolen vehicle at the Cotter Springs Park in Cotter, Arkansas. Lt. Lucy and State Police Officer Clinton Evans located the suspect attempting to break into another vehicle that was parked at the Park. A witness at the Park told authorities the suspect had driven the Ford Truck to the Park and had offered sex in return for a ride somewhere else. The suspect, 30 year old Jessica Osborne, was taken into custody without incident.
Jessica Goldenfree Osborne, age 30 of Mountain Home, is charged with:
Theft of Property Class B Felony Theft of Property Class C Felony Theft of Property Class D Felony Criminal Attempt Class D Felony
Osborne was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on bond of $50,000 pending her arraignment in Baxter County Circuit Court on September 1 at 9 am.
All three vehicles, a 9mm handgun and fishing rods were recovered with no damage.
