SHERIFF'S OFFICE CHANGES VISITATION DAY FOR COUNTY JAIL INMATES
07/11/2011
The Baxter County Sheriff's Office is announcing a change in visitation days for jail inmates in the Detention Center. Previously, all visitations were given on Wednesdays.
Effective Monday, July 18th, visitation for county jail inmates will be as follows:
MONDAYS, 12:00 NOON to 4:00 PM, will be visitation for jail inmates whose last names begin with the letters "A to M".
WEDNESDAYS, 12:00 NOON to 4:00 PM, will be visitation for jail inmates whose last names begin with the letters "N to Z".
Visitation for inmates who have or use multiple last names will be based upon the last name the inmate is currently booked into the Detention Center under. Each jail inmate will be allowed a combined total of thirty (30) minutes of visitation time for the entire day, and the inmate will decide how many of those minutes he or she will use for any person requesting to visit. All persons coming to the Detention Center to visit a jail inmate must have and present a valid government issued photo driver license or photo identification card.
Visitation for jail inmates is a privilege of the inmate, and it may be suspended or revoked for disciplinary or security reasons without any prior advance notification given. All visitors are considered guests and will be expected to abide by all Detention Center policies and operational procedures when visiting jail inmates.
Anyone having questions about this change may contact the Detention Center at 870-425-7000.
