Midway Man Charged With Theft of Lottery Tickets and Cash

On Monday, June 13, 2011, Raymond Brooks Moore, age 26 of Midway, Arkansas, was taken into custody and charged with Theft of Property, a Class C Felony.
Baxter County Deputy David Alkire responded to the Tri-Angle Station in Midway, Arkansas to a reported theft of Cash and Lottery Tickets. Preliminary investigation by Deputy Alkire revealed the suspect was employed by the Tri-angle Station and was on duty and working at the time of the thefts.
A review of the in-store surveillance system by Sheriff's Investigators, revealed the suspect had taken cash from the register, food, and lottery ticket's money drawers. The suspect, Raymond Brooks Moore was transported to the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division for an interview. After being interviewed by Investigators Brad Lewis and Drayton McDaniel, the suspect admitted to taking the items. At this time the amount of the theft is estimated at $5,000.00. The investigation is continuing.

He was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on bond of $7,000 pending his appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court on June 23, at 9 AM.
