Man Charged With Felony Drug Possession After Crashing His Vehicle

Sunday, June 12 at 11:54 PM, the Baxter County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call of a vehicle accident on Timberlane Road West of Mountain Home. When Deputy Brian Davis arrived he observed a Dark Blue Saturn that had wrecked in the ditch area and was high centered on a road culvert. He observed a white male walking towards him. The male was extremely unsteady on his feet and his speech was slurred. Following a sobriety test, the suspect, Henry Nielsen Jr., age 22 of Mountain Home, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
During the search of Nielsen, several prescription medications were found in a small metal canister in his pocket. An inventory of the vehicle was conducted prior to it being towed, and Drug Paraphernalia was found in the vehicle.
Nielsen was given a series of tests by two Mountain Home Police Officers who are classified as Drug Recognition Experts.
Henry Nielsen Jr. was transported to the Baxter County Detention Center without incident and charged with:
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Xanax Class C Felony
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Klonopin Class C Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Class C Felony
Driving While Intoxicated, Drugs, 2nd Offense
Careless Driving
Nielsen is being held on a $7500 bond pending his arraignment on June 30, at 9 am.
