Sunday, May 8, 2011 at approximately 10:32 am, Baxter County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call of a missing three year old on County Road 733, West of Mountain Home. Deputies arrived and determined the child had been missing for approximately 1 hour. The Baxter County Sheriff's Office Helicopter was launched and the tracking dogs from the Arkansas Department of Corrections were contacted and requested to assist.

     At approximately 11:18 am, Lieutenant Rick Lucy and Deputy David Allen spotted the child from the helicopter in the heavily wooded area several hundred yards behind the residence. The family was directed to the area and the child was reunited with his mother a few minutes later. The child was unharmed.
