Briarcliff Man Arrested For Felony Theft

On Thursday, May 5, 2011 Sheriff's Investigators were speaking with a victim in a theft case. The victim stated that they had been contacted by a local salvage and recycling business about a wallet that had been found in some things that had been sold them the day before. It was determined that those items had been stolen from a residence and the wallet had been left inside one of the items. The investigators were able to identify a suspect that had sold the items the day before.
Investigators were contacted a few minutes later by the recycling company that the suspect was back at their business and was attempting to sell some more items. Investigators Lt. Terry Johnson and Sgt. Brad Hurst went to the business and made contact with the suspect. The suspect had in his possession items that had been stolen from a business in Lakeview, Arkansas.
Darryl Lewis Bullock, age 54 of Briarcliff, was arrested without incident and charged with:
Theft of Property Class C Felony
Theft of Property Class A Misdemeanor
Bullock was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center. He is being held on a $10,000 bond pending his appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court on May 19, 2011.
