Man on Probation Fails Drug Screen, Arrested for Possession

February 11, 2011 at approximately 11:30 am, the Baxter County Sheriff's Office was contacted by the Arkansas Adult Probation and Parole Office for assistance. A probationer, who was at the Probation Office, had failed a drug test and admitted to having smoked marijuana. Probation Officers Tommy Steen and Greg McCoach accompanied Investigator Mike Day to the Probationer's residence on CR 27 Northwest of Mountain Home.
During the search of the residence approximately 14 grams of suspected marijuana along with two smoking pipes were discovered in a stereo located in the living room area of the residence. Cologero Benedetto Campisi, age 59 of Mountain Home was arrested and charged with:
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Marijuana Class A Misdemeanor
Possession of an Instrument of a Crime (2 counts) Class A Misdemeanor
Campisi was transported to the Baxter County Detention Center where he posted a bond of $1140.00 and was released. He is scheduled to appear in Baxter County District Court on March 3, 2011.
