NORFORK SCHOOL STUDENT ARRESTED FOR DAMAGING TEACHER'S CAR

     A student of Norfork High School has been arrested and charged with felony Criminal Mischief following an investigation into damage to a Norfork teacher's vehicle on October 20th.

     Sheriff Deputy/SRO Billy Cox states he was contacted by the teacher in regards to damage found on her vehicle.  She indicated she parked the vehicle at the Norfork High School on October 20th.  Later in the day, she found that the hood and trunk had been deeply scratched down to the primer.  The damage was estimated to be between $1,200 to $1,500. 

     A high school student was developed as a suspect, and she subsequently admitted to deliberately damaging the teacher's vehicle by scratching it with a nickle.  She refused to state a reason why.  LAKIN GREER, 18 years old of Norfork, was charged with:  Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, Class C Felony.  She was transported to the Baxter County Detention Center and has been held in custody in lieu of $2,000 bail.  LAKIN GREER will appear in Baxter County Circuit Court on October 28th.
