This year’s Open House for the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is going to be held next Tuesday, October 19^th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  The Open House will be held on the grounds of the Sheriff’s Office Complex, between the Administration Offices and the Detention Center.

     This year’s event is sponsored by the First National Bank and Trust Company of Mountain Home and the Baxter County Sheriff’s Foundation, Inc.  The Open House provides the Sheriff and his staff an opportunity to visit and mingle with members of the public in a casual atmosphere, as well as to provide the public an opportunity to tour and view the Sheriff’s Office facilities and equipment.  These include tours of the Detention Center, Administration Offices, Criminal Investigation Offices, Aviation Hanger and specialized equipment such as the helicopter, watercraft, and various search equipment. 

     Entertainment and refreshments will be provided.  Radio Station KTLO will be conducting a live remote broadcast, along with having their Treasure Chest here, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  The “Crooked Creek Band” will also be performing live from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  Hot dogs and jail food such as beans, cornbread, and bologna sandwiches, as well as drinks, will be provided to those attending. 

     Parking will be available at the First National Bank parking lot between Sixth Street and Seventh Street, with a shuttle available to transport visitors from the parking lot to the event.  We have also arranged for some door prizes to be given away.

     The public is invited, welcomed, and encouraged to attend, visit with the Sheriff and his employees, tour the facilities, and enjoy the festivities and entertainment.
