Overnight Information Left on 'Tip Line' Leads to Arrest on Growing Marijuana

September 28, 2010 at approximately 11:40 am, the Baxter County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant and arrested two suspects at their residence at 800 Blue Wing Road, North of Mountain Home. (click 'HERE' for audio)
The Sheriff's Office received information concerning marijuana being grown in an area off of Blue Wing Road, which is off of Highway 201 North. The information was left on the Sheriff's anonymous tip line (424-INFO) sometime overnight. Acting on the information, the Sheriff's Helicopter was utilized and spotted suspected marijuana plants growing in an area near the swimming pool of the suspect's residence. A search warrant was obtained and executed on the residence. The owners of the property, 49 year old Matthew John Pine and his wife, 52 year old Debra Carole Pine, were arrested without incident.
Investigators with the Baxter County Sheriff's Office found and seized 24 female marijuana plants along with processed marijuana, scales, drug paraphernalia and eighteen weapons. The street value of the marijuana is estimated to be approximately $24,500.
Matthew John Pine and Debra Carole Pine are each charged with:
Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance, Marijuana Class C Felony
Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver Class C Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Class C Felony
Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms Class Y Felony
Both were booked into the Baxter County Detention Center.
The bond for Matthew Pine was set at $25,000.
The bond for Debra Pine was set at $10,000
The investigation is continuing.
