ANOTHER METH LAB FOUND WHEN SEARCH WARRANT SERVED TUESDAY; STOLEN PROPERTY ALSO RECOVERED

     Acting on intelligence developed during the preceding days relating the production of methamphetamine, including information reported by an online database used to track sales of pseudoephedrine, Baxter County Sheriff’s Investigators Tuesday served a search warrant on a residence in the Midway area.

 

     Information indicated that Brian John Dust of Midway had made multiple purchases of pseudoephedrine within the past sixty days at various locations.  Investigators executed the warrant at 336 Baxter CR 12 and found components used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

 

     In the course of serving the warrant, Investigators also discovered on the property a backhoe belonging to Gregory Construction Company that had been reported stolen from the new library location on July 7, 2010 as well as a Texas Dragg dump trailer belonging to Mr. Tom Emboch that had been reported stolen from Park West Village on July 2, 2010.  In addition, various articles of equipment belonging to North Arkansas Electric Cooperative that had been stolen from the substation in Midway in April, 2010 were recovered.  The value of these pieces of equipment was estimated to be $45,450.

 

     Brian John Dust, 36 years of age, was taken into custody at the residence without incident.  He was transported to the Detention Center and incarcerated on the following charges:

 

                        Manufacture of a Controlled Substance – Meth – Felony

                        Theft by Receiving – 3 counts – Felonies

 

     Bond for Brian Dust was set at $75,000.  He is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court on August 5th.  Assisting the Sheriff’s Office with the search were officers from the Mountain Home Police Department and Arkansas State Police – CID Unit.
