WOMAN ARRESTED FOR VIOLATING SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION ACT

A rural Mountain Home woman was arrested today for violating the provisions of the Arkansas Sex Offender Registration Act.
Debra C. Henson is registered as a level 2 sex offender with the Baxter County Sheriff's Office after having been convicted of the crime of Incest in 2002. Registered sex offenders are required by law to provide the law enforcement agency having jurisdiction over their place of residence with accurate and current information as to their place of employment.
Sheriff's deputies learned that Henson was working at a Mountain Home business but had not informed the Sheriff's Office of her employment. She had been working there since 2008.
Debra C. Henson, 47 years old of rural Mountain Home, is in custody at the Detention Center for one felony count of Failing to Register. Her bond is set at $15,000, and she will appear in Baxter County Circuit Court on January 21, 2010.
