JAILER 

     The Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for full time Jailers at the Detention Center.  Jailers are responsible for all aspects of inmate management and care, as well as many other related duties.  

     Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, have a clean record and reliable transportation, be able to pass a drug screen analysis, and meet all other minimum requirements mandated by law and policy.  Uniforms, equipment, and training are provided.

     The base starting wage for full-time Jailer is $17.25 per hour, which can be increased up to 24% more depending on the amount of prior experience in the field.  Base pay will increase to $18.00 per hour on 01/01/2025.  All county benefits apply to the full time positions.  These include 15 days paid vacation after one year, 2 paid personal days, accrued paid sick leave, paid holidays, insurance (health, dental, vision) provided at no cost to the employee, and participation in a state retirement system.
