APPLICATIONS BEING SOUGHT FOR JAILER AND JAIL NURSE (LPN) POSITIONS

JAILER
The Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for full time and part time Jailers at the Detention Center. Jailers are responsible for all aspects of inmate management and care, as well as many other related duties.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, have a clean record and reliable transportation, be able to pass a drug screen analysis, and meet all other minimum requirements mandated by law and policy. Uniforms, equipment, and training are provided.
The base starting wage for full-time Jailer is $17.75 per hour, which can be increased up to 24% more depending on the amount of prior experience in the field. All county benefits apply to the full time positions. These include 15 days paid vacation after one year, 2 paid personal days, accrued paid sick leave, paid holidays, insurance (health, dental, vision) provided at no cost to the employee, and participation in a state retirement system.
The base pay for part-time Jailer is $16.50 per hour. County benefits are not offered for part-time help.

JAIL NURSE - LPN
The Sheriff's Office has an immediate opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Detention Center. This is a full-time position that is responsible for inmate health care needs. The LPN will work the direction of the Jail's Physician Assistant (PA) and the Jail Administrator.
Applicants must possess a current and valid LPN certificate/license from the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and be CPR certified. Applicants must also meet other minimum requirements as established by Sheriff's Office policy.
The starting pay for the LPN position is $19.25 per hour, which can be increased up to 24% more depending on amount of prior experience. All county benefits apply to the position.
