DONATION RECEIVED FROM LOCAL RESIDENT FOR PURCHASE OF BODY ARMOR VESTS
04/22/2024
Thanks to a generous donation given to the Baxter County Sheriff's Foundation from a local resident, the Sheriff's Office will be able to furnish several deputies with new body armor vests.
Earlier this year, Baxter County resident and current Quorum Court member Rhonda "Tink" Albright gave a $5,000 donation to the Baxter County Sheriff's Foundation so that some of the deputies could be provided with new body armor. It is recommended that body armor vests be replaced every five years in order to provide the best and most reliable protection for our law enforcement officers.
Over the years, several local residents and businesses have come forward with donations for this purpose. The Baxter County Sheriff's Foundation, Inc. is a domestic non-profit organization that was created in 2009 to provide support for the Sheriff's Office. It is governed by a Board of Directors made up of unpaid volunteer members from the local community.
