INDEPENDENCE DAY HOLIDAY WEEKEND
ACTIVITY REPORT

     For the Independence Day Holiday weekend period (Friday, June 30th through Tuesday, July 4th), the Sheriff's Office recorded the following activities:

Complaint Calls - Calls For Service:  154

Vehicle Traffic Stops:  87

Citations Issued for Traffic Violations:  16  (includes 2 citations/arrests for Driving While Intoxicated)

Citations Issued for Criminal Misdemeanors:  9

Written Warnings Issued for Traffic Violations:  70

Bookings at Baxter County Detention Center from All LE Agencies:  35
(Jail Bookings include 4 for Domestic Violence; 3 for Drug Possession; 3 for Driving or Boating While Intoxicated)

There were 2 boating accidents reported on Lake Norfork, one with injury, that were referred to the Arkansas Game and Fish Wildlife Officers for investigation.

Deputies assisted with the fireworks show on Lake Norfork on July 3rd, including having the Sheriff's water patrol boat and helicopter in use to monitor boat traffic and vehicle traffic.

Deputies also provided patrol duty under contract for the U. S. Army Corp of Engineers parks and campgrounds on Lake Norfork and at Lakeview Park on Lake Bull Shoals.
