The Baxter County Sheriff's Office experienced a busy holiday weekend.  The activity summary for the period of June 30th through July 1st was as follows:

Complaint Calls/Calls for Service:  123

Traffic Citations Issued:  12

Criminal Misdemeanor Citations Issued:  5

Traffic Warnings Issued:  25

     There were a total of 37 persons booked into the Baxter County Detention Center from all law enforcement agencies for various misdemeanor and felony charges, including 7 who had charges of either Driving or Boating While Intoxicated.

     Extra Deputies were on duty during the holiday weekend.  Deputies worked jointly with the U. S. Army Corp of Engineers Park Rangers providing traffic and crowd control for the Fireworks Display at Norfork Lake on July 3rd, and also at Bull Shoals Lake on July 4th in conjunction with Arkansas State Parks Police.
