SHERIFF'S OFFICE INVESTIGATING FATALITY TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

The Baxter County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatality traffic accident that occurred this morning.
At approximately 10:11 AM, the 9-1-1 call center received a report of a serious traffic accident in the 3800 block of Tracy Ferry Road involving a tractor-trailer rig and injury.
Deputies responded and found the driver of the truck unresponsive. He was ultimately transported by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home but did not survive his injuries. The driver is identified as 65 year old TERRY LEE SNAVELY of Texarkana, Texas. There were no other passengers or occupants.
TERRY SNAVELY was driving a 2015 Kenworth Tractor belonging to Circon Refuel Co dba STC Industrial, LLC of Sumter, South Carolina. He was East bound on Tracy Ferry Road, lost control, and ran off the roadway striking a tree. Approximately 100 gallons of diesel fuel were spilled from the tractor. The Baxter County Road and Bridge Department and the Office of Emergency Management from neighboring Fulton County are assisting with the clean-up, and the vehicle is in the process of being removed.
Preliminary information indicates that TERRY SNAVELY'S journey originated in Coffeeville, Kansas, and he was headed to Mountain View, Arkansas. It is unknown why he drove down Tracy Ferry Road.
Agencies involved in handling the incident were the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, Baxter County Road and Bridge Department, Fulton County Office of Emergency Management, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Highway Police, Tracy Ferry Fire Department, Mountain Home Fire Department, and the Baxter County Coroner's Office.
