DEPUTY - COURT BAILIFF POSITION NOW OPEN

The Baxter County Sheriff's Office is seeking applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff/Court Bailiff. The position works under the Support Services Division. This position is responsible for providing bailiff services for the circuit court, district court, and county court, as well as for providing security for the court complex building. In addition to these duties, the position may be responsible for performing any and all other law enforcement duties if circumstances require it.
Applicants must currently possess certification from the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training (CLEST) as a full time law enforcement officer, or out of state equivalency may be considered.
The base starting wage for the position as established by the county's governing body is $12.57 to $15.61 per hour, depending on prior experience. Full county benefits are provided, including insurance (health, dental, vision), state retirement plan, paid vacation, paid holidays, and paid sick time benefits. Uniforms, additional training, and county vehicle are provided.
Persons who meet these qualifications and wish to apply may do so by obtaining an application for employment from the Sheriff's Administration Offices and returning to the same location during normal office hours.
