The Sheriff's Office is seeking reliable and dependable applicants for the position of full time Jailer in the Detention Center.  Starting rate of pay for applicants with no prior experience is $12.16 per hour with all county benefits provided such as paid insurance, paid vacation, paid sick leave, and state retirement program.  Rate of pay is negotiable for applicants with previous experience in the field.  There is a 90 day probationary period.  Reliable transportation is required.

     Applicants must be available to work any shift and any days, including weekends and holidays.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, be free of any felony convictions in any jurisdiction, pass a physical exam and psychological evaluation, and meet all other minimum qualifications for the position as established by state mandates.  Uniforms and training will be provided.
