The Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the full time position of JAILER within the Baxter County Detention Center.

     Minimum qualifications include:

A.  Be at least 18 years of age.

B.  Be a citizen of the United States.

C.  Possess a valid Arkansas Driver License.

D.  Be free of any felony conviction in any state or jurisdiction.

E.  Pass a physical examination and psychological evaluation.

F.  Possess a High School Diploma or GED.

G.  This is a non-certified position, therefore certification as a sworn law enforcement officer by CLEST is not required, although can be acquired with approval of the Sheriff.

     The position of JAILER is listed as Level 107 on the county's pay/wage chart, with a starting wage of between $11.86 and $14.84 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.  All county benefits apply, including paid health insurance, paid vacation and holidays, paid sick leave, and retirement system benefits.

     Completed applications for the position will be accepted at the Sheriff's Administration Offices through 4:30 PM on December 23rd.  Resumes without a fully completed application form included cannot be considered.
