A parolee was arrested by the Sheriff's Office early this morning on a felony drug charge after he was pulled over for a traffic violation.
Sheriff's Corporal Jacob Zappa observed a vehicle on the U. S. Hwy 62/412 Bypass early this morning. There was no license plate on the vehicle, and Corporal Zappa made a traffic stop to inquire. The vehicle was driven by 35 year old ZACHERY GUILTNER of rural Mountain Home, who is a parolee with Arkansas Community Corrections. GUILTNER had a search waiver on file, and his driver license showed to be suspended.
A search of the vehicle was conducted, and a small amount of methamphetamine was found that was concealed in a metal container hidden under the dash of the vehicle.
ZACHERY GUILTNER was arrested and taken to the Baxter County Detention Center where he was booked on charges of:
Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) - Felony
Driving While License Suspended - Misdemeanor
No Liability Insurance - Misdemeanor
No Vehicle License - Misdemeanor
GUILTNER has a bond of $5,000 on these charges, but he is also being held without bond for a parole violation. He will appear before the Circuit Court to answer at a later date.
