Three arrests were made Monday evening, July 20th, following a manhunt that ensued after a brief pursuit with a man on a motorcycle.
At approximately 2:10 PM, a Sheriff's Investigator and an agent with the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force notified Sheriff's Dispatch that they were in pursuit of a motorcycle on Reid Lane in the Henderson area. The operator of the motorcycle had been identified as JASON JOSEPH KRUG, who had an outstanding felony bench warrant for drug offenses on a Mountain Home PD case.
KRUG fled when investigators attempted to stop him. He went down a dirt path at the end of Reid Lane, then abandoned the motorcycle and fled on foot. As other deputies were responding to the area, the canine tracking team from the Arkansas Department of Corrections - North Central Unit in Calico Rock was called to assist. The Sheriff's Office helicopter was also launched.
The canine team tracked KRUG to the East through the woods and along a power line right-of-way to a residence at 227 Deerfield Lane. Deputies attempted to contact KRUG at this residence, but he did not respond, nor did anyone else who was inside. Investigators began to prepare a search warrant to gain entrance to the residence. The Special Response Team (SRT) from the Mountain Home Police Department was called to the scene to make entrance once the search warrant had been obtained.
At approximately 5:50 PM, the search warrant from a Circuit Judge was delivered to the scene. At this point, a female identified as CHARLEY DREW CURTIS came out of the residence. The SRT then made entrance. Inside the residence they found JASON JOSEPH KRUG hiding in a shower, and also found another man identified as CHARLES LLOYD GAMBLE.
KRUG, GAMBLE, and CURTIS were all three arrested and taken into custody. They were subsequently transported to the Baxter County Detention Center where they were booked as follows:
