Jason Adam Memegos

     A Sexual Assault charge has been filed against a Briarcliff man, 47 year old JASON ADAM MEMEGOS, following an investigation into a complaint the Sheriff's Office received on July 13th.

     It was reported to the Sheriff's Office by a parent that a 9 year old boy had been sexually assaulted the day before at a residence in Briarcliff.  JASON MEMEGOS, a step-relation to the child, was named as the offender in that complaint. 

     During a subsequent forensic interview at the Grandma's House Children's Advocacy Center the boy stated that MEMEGOS had performed oral sex on him the night before, which would have been on July 12th.  JASON MEMEGOS was then interviewed by Sheriff's Investigators, and he admitted that he had performed oral sex on the child as alleged in the complaint.

     JASON MEMEGOS was arrested and taken to the Baxter County Detention Center where he was incarcerated on a charge of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, which is a Class B Felony.  He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond pending an appearance before the Baxter County Circuit Court set for July 16th.  JASON MEMEGOS also has an extradition hold from the State of Michigan on a felony non-support warrant.
