RED LIGHT VIOLATION LEADS TO DRUG ARRESTS

     Two Eureka Springs residents were arrested Tuesday afternoon, March 3rd, on drug charges after being stopped for running a red light in Mountain Home.   At approximately 12:33 PM, Sheriff's Deputy Craig Kocka observed the driver of a 2004 Dodge Neon run a red light at the intersection of 9th Street and Cardinal Drive in Mountain Home.

     Deputy Kocka stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, who was identified as 46 year old VALERIE LYNETTE PLUMLEE of Eureka Springs.  There was a passenger in the vehicle who was identified as 31 year old ANDREW THOMAS DAVIS, also of Eureka Springs.  During the course of the stop, it was determined that VALERIA PLUMLEE had a suspended driver license and the passenger, ANDREW DAVIS, had misdemeanor warrants out of Eureka Springs for Failure to Appear in Court. 

     PLUMLEE and DAVIS were both placed under arrest.  A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, including a loaded syringe and various smoking devices.  PLUMLEE and DAVIS were transported to the Detention Center and booked on charges as follows:

VALERIE LYNETTE PLUMLEE, charged with:

Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) with Purpose to Deliver - Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts) - Felonies
Possession of Controlled Substance (Marijuana) - Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Misdemeanor
Driving While License Suspended - Misdemeanor
Ran Red Light - Misdemeanor

ANDREW THOMAS DAVIS, charged with:

Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) with Purpose to Deliver - Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts) - Felonies
Possession of Controlled Substance (Marijuana) - Misdemeanor
Hold for Other Agencies - Eureka Springs Warrants FTS

     PLUMLEE and DAVIS both have a bond of $15,000 each, and they are scheduled to appear before the Circuit Court to answer on March 12th.
