LAKEVIEW MAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES

One man was arrested this morning when officers served a search warrant at a private residence at 105 Michael Lane in Lakeview. The warrant was obtained based upon evidence of drug activity at that residence.
During the service of the warrant, officers encountered 54 year old DAVID L. WAYLAND at that address. The search of the residence uncovered approximately 4.75 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, and numerous smoking devices.
DAVID WAYLAND was arrested without incident and transported to the Baxter County Detention Center where he has been booked on charges of:
Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts) – Felonies
Habitual Offender – Penalty Enhancement
WAYLAND remains in custody in lieu of $15,000 bond on these charges. He is set to appear before the Circuit Court to answer on June 20th. WAYLAND has been booked into the Baxter County Detention Center a total of 16 times since 1997.
Agencies participating in the search and arrest were the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Lakeview Police Department, 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force, and the Mountain Home Police Department.
