The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle traffic accident Friday evening, June 14th, that resulted in a fatality.  At approximately 9:41 PM, the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a one vehicle rollover accident in the area of 2955 Old Arkana Road (Baxter CR 54).  It was reported that the driver had been ejected and was deceased.

     Deputies found the vehicle, a 1998 Ford pickup truck, resting upside down in the ditch on the west side of the roadway.  Evidence indicated that the vehicle had been traveling north bound on Old Arkana Road and had failed to negotiate a curve, resulting in the vehicle running off the roadway and rolling over.

     The driver, who was the only occupant, was identified as 37 year old JONATHAN L. DOUGLAS of Mountain Home.  He was pronounced deceased by the Baxter County Coroner.  The accident was investigated by Deputy Brian Williams.
