VISITATION FOR JAIL INMATES TO BE TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION
06/07/2019
The Sheriff’s Office is announcing that inmate visitation at the Baxter County Detention Center must be temporarily suspended due to construction for remodeling that will commence next week at and around the public entrance area of the facility. Starting Monday, June 10th, visitation will be temporarily halted.
Due to the ongoing construction and remodeling work and for safety precautions, visitation with jail inmates by family and others will not be possible or allowed for the next several weeks. Jail inmates may still place telephone calls from inside the detention center to family and friends, and they make continue to send and receive post card mail during this period as before, however personal visitations at the detention center will be discontinued during this period.
We hope that this inconvenience will last no more than three or four weeks, but the time frame is subject to change depending on prevailing work conditions for the construction crew. We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause to the public.

Baxter County Sheriff
