FELONY BATTERY CHARGE FILED AGAINST CLARKRIDGE MAN

A Clarkridge man, 24 year old AARON DAKOTA JONES, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office this morning following an investigation into a 9-1-1 call of a fight in progress at 8193 Hwy 201 North that deputies responded to back on May 23rd.
Sheriff’s Corporal Tracy Munson arrived on the scene and made contact with one of the parties involved, who was had a head injury. Emergency medical services were summoned to the scene. The other person involved in the altercation, AARON JONES, had fled from the scene before the deputy arrived.
The victim stated and alleged that he was attacked by AARON DAKOTA JONES, who was alleged to have struck the victim on the head with some object from a tool box. A witness to the incident confirmed that JONES had swung something at the victim and struck him in the head with it. The victim was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home for treatment of his injuries.
Investigators obtained a warrant for the arrest of AARON DAKOTA JONES, and he was incarcerated today in the Detention Center on a felony charge of Battery in the Second Degree. He is being held in lieu of $7,500 bond with an appearance in Circuit Court set for June 20th.
