MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND ACTIVITY REPORT

Sheriff’s Deputies stayed busy over the long Memorial Day weekend this year, although no significant incidents occurred. Deputies answer 112 complaint calls or calls for service from Friday through Monday.
There were a total of 27 people booked into the Baxter County Detention Center from all law enforcement agencies during this period. This included bookings for the following offenses:
3 Driving While Intoxicated
1 Boating While Intoxicated
6 Drug Possession or Drug Paraphernalia Possession
1 Public Intoxication
5 Domestic Violence Charges
9 Arrest Warrants Served
4 Resisting Arrest
In addition to custodial arrests and jail bookings, Sheriff’s Deputies also issued the following traffic citations:
4 Speeding
2 No Vehicle License
2 Improper Passing
1 No Liability Insurance
1 Careless and Prohibited Driving
There were also a total of 38 written warnings issued for traffic violations.
Deputies patrolled parks and campgrounds on U. S. Army Corp of Engineers property under contract, and also conducted random water patrols on Lake Norfork.
