JORDAN AREA MAN ARRESTED ON BURGLARY AND THEFT CHARGES

A Jordan man, 21 year old KYLE JAMES TILLEY, has been arrested in connection with several break-ins and thefts that occurred in the Jordan area between January 24th and March 5th that were being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office.
On January 24th, a victim reported that she had caught a man stealing a 5 gallon gasoline can from underneath her carport at 5:40 AM. The suspect fled, with the gas can, and left in a dark colored Ford pickup truck. The gas can was valued at $35.00.
On March 2nd, another victim in the Jordan area reported that someone had broken into his residence and stole several items. These included a Ryobi skill saw, a black backpack, cigars, and several other items. These items were valued at $2,310.00.
On March 5th, a third victim in Jordan reported someone had broken into his shop building. Several items were missing, including two Craftsman drills, a charger, and a bag containing other tools. These items were valued at $500.00
At a later date, it was reported to the Sheriff’s Office from an out of town homeowner in the Jordan area that her security camera had taken video of a black pickup truck that pulled into her very long driveway on March 2nd. The video was provided to the Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle was determined to be a black Ford Ranger pickup truck.
On March 6th, KYLE JAMES TILLEY was pulled over on a traffic stop in Salesville. The officer observed a Ryobi skill saw in the truck as well as other items that had been reported stolen during the various break-ins. TILLEY was interviewed at the Sheriff’s Office. He admitted to stealing the gas can on January 24th and to being in the truck in the driveway on the video recording, but he denied any involvement in the other break-ins and thefts.
KYLE JAMES TILLEY was taken to the Detention Center and booked on charges of:
Residential Burglary – Felony
Breaking or Entering – Felony
Theft of Property – Felony
Theft of Property (2 counts) – Misdemeanors
Contempt of Court – Outstanding Misdemeanor Warrant
He is being held in lieu of $25,000.00 bond and will appear in the Circuit Court to answer on March 7th.
