Arrest Made in Boat Dock Thefts

On 12-7-2018, it was reported to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office that two boats and a storage locker were broken into at a boat dock in the Hand Cove area. Rods, reels, tackle boxes, marine batteries, a trolling motor and stereo equipment were taken.
Sheriff’s Investigators began an investigation and found some of the items at a home while searching for two wanted persons, unrelated to this case. Approximately a week later, several other items were located along with other stolen items, and a suspect was developed. An affidavit was filed and a warrant was issued.
On January 10, 2019 the suspect, Tyler Ray Bell was located by the Arkansas State Probation and Parole Special Response Team at a residence in Cotter. He was taken into custody without incident. Tyler Ray Bell, age 33 of Mountain Home, was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on charges of:
Breaking or Entering, 3 Counts Class D Felony
Theft of Property, 2 counts Class A Misdemeanor
Criminal Mischief Class A Misdemeanor
Warrant for Drug Paraphernalia, 2 Counts, Class D Felony
Felony Probation Revocation
Tyler Bell is currently being held on bond of $22,500, and a NO BOND of the Revocation, pending his appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court on January 17, 2019 at 1 pm.
A female at the residence, Chasity Rena Miller was also taken into custody and charged with:
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Class A Misdemeanor
Warrant Non Payment of Fines
Probation Revocation
Chasity Miller is being held without bond pending her appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court on January 17, 2019 at 1 pm.
