The Sheriff’s Office responded to and investigated a fatality motorcycle accident Sunday evening on Whispering Pines Lane in Midway.  The call on the accident was received at 9:23 PM.  The operator of the motorcycle was said to be unconscious, and emergency medical services were dispatched as well.  The operator was found to be deceased at the scene.  He was identified as 53 year old MICHAEL ANTONUCCI of Midway. 

     A witness stated that MICHAEL ANTONUCCI was traveling North on Whispering Pines Lane on a 250 cc Yamaha dirt bike after dark without headlamps.  He left the roadway, crashing into a pile of rocks and then into trees and was ejected. 

     The Baxter County Coroner’s Office pronounced ANTONUCCI to be deceased at the scene.  The accident was invested by Sheriff’s Sergeant Dwight Duch.
