TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG ARREST

A rural Mountain Home man, 52 year old CHRISTOPHER ALFRED KNAPP, was arrested Tuesday morning, April 17th, on drug and traffic charges after being pulled over by Sheriff’s Corporal Kristofer Savino for an equipment violation.
Corporal Savino stopped KNAPP on Baxter CR 69 at the intersection of Yorkshire Ln at approximately 11:49 AM. CHRISTOPHER KNAPP was found to have a suspended driver license and was taken into custody. A subsequent search of KNAPP and his vehicle uncovered drugs and drug paraphernalia, including methamphetamine, marijuana, a syringe, scales, and other articles.
CHRISTOPHER KNAPP was transported to the Detention Center and booked on charges of:
Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) with Purpose to Deliver – Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Misdemeanor
Driving While License Suspended – Misdemeanor
No Vehicle License – Misdemeanor
No Proof of Liability Insurance – Misdemeanor
Broken Windshield – Misdemeanor
KNAPP was released from jail after posting $5,000 bond. He will appear in the Circuit Court to answer these charges on April 19th.
