The Sheriff's Office was called to an apparent suicide scene Tuesday morning, April 17th, at 80 Cabin Mill Trail.  The caller reported that after arriving home he discovered his friend in the woods behind his house with a gunshot wound to her head.

     Deputies and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched.  Upon their arrival, they found a woman, identified as 29 year old BETHANY FAYE SMITH, to be deceased behind the residence, lying in a hammock.  She had sustained a single gunshot wound. 

      The body of the deceased was removed by the County Coroner's Office.  The body is being sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner's Office in Little Rock to determine cause and manner of death.  There is no indication of foul play involved.
