The Sheriff’s Office was called to assist EMS at a death on Friday, November 24th, that occurred at 7092 Hwy 5 North in Midway.   A deputy was dispatched at approximately 4:05 PM to assist EMS with unresponsive male at the residence and found him to be deceased upon arrival. 

     The decedent was identified as 32 year old RANDY A. STEELE of Paragould, Arkansas, who was here visiting over the holiday.  A relative reported that MR. STEELE had been feeling ill for some time prior to collapsing.  The Baxter County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.

     The deceased was sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock for autopsy to determine cause of death due to his young age at the time of death.  No foul play is suspected.
