CITIZENS DETAIN MAN THEY CAUGHT STEALING GASOLINE FROM THEIR TRUCK

A Flippin man, 33 year old CHRISTOPHER LEE MANN, was arrested Saturday morning, October 28th, on several charges after deputies were called to Baxter CR 486, which is North of Mountain Home.
Two men had parked their truck in the area and went hunting. When the returned to their truck, they discovered a man under the truck, who was later identified as CHRISTOPHER MANN. He had drilled a hole into the gas tank of the truck and was draining out the fuel. The men confronted MANN and detained him at the scene while they called for a deputy and waited for him to arrive.
Deputy Mike Holland responded and ultimately arrested CHRISTOPHER MANN on several charges. During a search of MANN’s vehicle, various articles of drug paraphernalia were found, including a digital scale, glass pipe, and syringes commonly utilized in connection with methamphetamine use. These items were seized and taken into evidence, as was the drill that MANN had used on the gasoline tank of the truck.
CHRISTOPHER MANN was transported to the Detention Center where he was booked on charges of:
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Felony
Possession Instrument of a Crime – Misdemeanor
Criminal Mischief in the 1st Degree – Misdemeanor
Theft of Property – Misdemeanor
Contempt of Court – Outstanding Misdemeanor Warrant
Non-Payment of Fines – Outstanding Misdemeanor Warrant
CHRISTOPHER MANN has a bond of $5,000 on the new charges and will appear in the Baxter County Circuit Court to answer on November 2nd. He is being held without bond on the two misdemeanor arrest warrants.
