PAROLEE SURRENDERS HIMSELF ON DRUG WARRANT
09/12/2017
Robert Dillon Willett |
A parolee was arrested yesterday, September 11th, on an outstanding bench warrant from the Circuit Court for drug charges.
The warrant was obtained after deputies responded to a citizen report of a suspicious vehicle located on Nubbin Ridge Road near Lakeview on June 9, 2017. Deputies located the vehicle, which was unoccupied and abandoned. During an inventory of the vehicle prior to towing, deputies found drugs and drug paraphernalia inside and around the vehicle, including numerous Alprazolam and Clonazepam pills, 50 units of LSD (acid), and drug paraphernalia that contained methamphetamine residue.
The investigation determined that the vehicle had been in use by 34 year old ROBERT DILLON WILLETT, a parolee with Arkansas Community Corrections. WILLETT was interviewed the next day by investigators. He admitted to having been driving the vehicle in question and that he had been the only person in the vehicle.
A bench warrant for the arrest of ROBERT DILLON WILLETT was issued on August 30, 2017. WILLETT surrendered himself yesterday at the Detention Center to be served with the warrant. He was subsequently booked on charges of:
Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver (LSD) – Felony
Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver (Alprazolam) – Felony
Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver (Clonazepam) – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Felony
Habitual Offender – Penalty Enhancement
Parole Violation
WILLETT has a bond of $20,000 on the new drug charges, with an appearance in the Circuit Court set for September 14th. Records indicate that WILLETT has 32 prior bookings in the Baxter County Detention Center since 2002 and was last released from prison on parole on or about October 2, 2015.
