Sheriff’s Deputies arrested three people Friday evening, August 25th after receiving a report at approximately 11:42 PM that a house at 162 Hazel Drive was being burglarized. A caller reported there were people at the residence removing items and loading them into a pickup truck. The residence was said to be unoccupied and possibly in foreclosure.
Deputies made contact with three people at the residence when they arrived and saw a blue Dodge pickup truck in the driveway with a trailer. These people were identified as 41 year old PHILLIP ROY WILCOXON of rural Mountain Home, 35 year old AMANDA SUE SELFRIDGE of rural Mountain Home, and 32 year old SAMMUAL DOUGLAS ROGERS, also of rural Mountain Home.
WILCOXON claimed to have received permission from someone living adjacent to the house to take what he wanted from the house because it was abandoned. Deputies spoke with the neighbor. The neighbor denied saying any such thing, claiming that WILCOXON had come to the house earlier in the day asking if any houses were up for rent in the neighborhood.
All three suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Office for interrogation. At the conclusion of this process, it was decided to arrest on the following charges:
PHILLIP ROY WILCOXON:
Residential Burglary – Felony
Theft of Property – Misdemeanor
AMANDA SUE SELFRIDGE:
Residential Burglary – Felony
Theft of Property – Misdemeanor
SAMMUAL DOUGLAS ROGERS:
Criminal Trespass – Misdemeanor
WILCOXON and SELFRIDGE were released from custody after posting $25,000 bond each. They will appear in the Circuit Court to answer the charges on September 14th.
ROGERS was issued a citation to appear in the District Court for September 21st and released from custody.
