Jail Inmate Escapes From Work Detail

A Baxter County Sheriff’s jail inmate has walked off from an inmate work detail in Mountain Home. The inmate, 49 year old Jimmy Leon Bohannan was on an inmate work detail at the Mountain Home Food Basket, 1341 Eastside Center Court. Bohannan was last seen approximately 1:05 pm when the Deputy noticed him missing. His black and white jail uniform was found outside near a dumpster.
Baxter County Sheriff’s Deputies and helicopter, Arkansas State Police, Mountain Home Police and the K-9 Tracking Dog Team from the Arkansas Department of Corrections, Calico Rock are assisting in the search.

Jimmy Bohannan was booked into the Baxter County Jail on January 13 on a variety of charges including shoplifting, failure to appear, burglary, theft of property and other charges. At this time he is not considered armed or dangerous.
