MAN TURNS HIMSELF IN ON OUTSTANDING FELONY WARRANTS

An 18 year old rural Mountain Home man, 18 year old JUSTIN RANDALL WATSON, turned himself in Monday afternoon, January 30, 2017, at the Baxter County Detention Center on outstanding arrest warrants for burglary and other charges.
The charges against WATSON came about as a result of an investigation initiated on or about June 1, 2016 when the Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at 599 CR 715 for the purpose of locating narcotics and stolen guns. The warrant was obtained based upon citizen tips and information that had been received indicating those items to be present at the residence.
During the search, ten (10) firearms and approximately 336 grams of marijuana were found. Drug paraphernalia was found as well. On June 6th, some of the stolen firearms were identified by their owner. They had been stolen from his residence on Hwy 201 South, as was a significant quantity of cash. JUSTIN WATSON was ultimately developed as one of the suspects in the burglary and theft, and a warrant was obtained for his arrest.
JUSTIN RANDALL WATSON was charged by the warrant and information with:
Residential Burglary – Felony
Theft of Property (12 counts) – Felonies
Theft by Receiving – Felony
Breaking or Entering – Felony
Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance with Purpose of Delivery – Felony
WATSON was released from custody by order of the court and will appear in Circuit Court on February 2nd to answer the charges.
The second suspect, identified as LOGAN WALTERS, had also been charged, and his case has already been adjudicated.
