Summer Marie Jones a/k/a Summer Overmyer

     The Sheriff’s Office was called Monday evening, January 23rd, to 82 Ravenwood Lane on a complaint that a naked woman had broken into a residence and was found inside by the owners when they arrived home.

     At approximately 10:48 PM, Sheriff’s Deputy Craig Gates responded to the address and made contact with the callers.  They advised him that when they came home from shopping and walked to the door they heard something inside.  They opened the door and observed a naked woman walking out of the bedroom and throwing objects.  The women then ran outside and jumped into the caller’s pickup truck.  She threw the callers purse and a soft drink at her, then jumped out and ran over to another residence nearby. 

     At the second residence at 150 Ravenwood Lane, the naked woman banged on the door.  The homeowner opened the door, and the woman came inside asking for help.  This is where Deputy Gates found the woman.  She was subsequently identified as 40 year old SUMMER MARIE JONES, also known as SUMMER OVERMYER, with a last known address of Alma, Arkansas. 

   SUMMER JONES was arrested and taken into custody at that time.  An investigation of the scene at 82 Ravenwood Lane indicated that JONES had gained entry by tampering with a door plunger. JONES broke mirrors in both bedrooms of the house and threw electronics onto the floor.  The property damage was estimated at $1,000. SUMMER JONES is believed to have been under the influence of methamphetamine.

     JONES is charged with:

Residential Burglary - Felony
Criminal Mischief 1st Degree - Misdemeanor
Criminal Trespass (2 counts) - Misdemeanors
Disorderly Conduct - Misdemeanor
Public Intoxication - Misdemeanor

     She has a bond of $50,000 and will appear before the Circuit Court to answer on January 26th.
